Terms of Service

This is an English summary of the Nutzungsbedingungen of MunichGames. The German version is legally binding; this page is for information.

1. Who we are

MunichGames is operated by Philip Windsperger (Münchner Gesindel), Emil-Geis-Straße 14, 81379 Munich, Germany. Contact: info@muenchner-gesindel.de (German or English). This is also our single point of contact under Art. 11 and 12 of the EU Digital Services Act.

2. The service

MunichGames is a free collection of Munich-themed mobile web games: single-player games, multiplayer games, a virtual dog, rankings, achievements, levels, daily missions, a daily quiz and a shop for virtual items. You can try it as a guest; rankings, coins, friends and multiplayer scores require an account. There are currently no real-money purchases.

3. Age and account

4. Connecting Instagram or TikTok

5. Fair play

Cheating (bots, macros, modified game data, exploiting bugs), multiple accounts, manipulating rankings, attacking our servers, scraping and harassing other players are prohibited. Our servers check submitted scores for plausibility; implausible results are not counted. Depending on the severity, we may remove scores, rankings entries or items, change your nickname, restrict features or suspend or terminate your account. We explain every measure, and you can object within six months by email; a human will review it.

6. No chat, reporting, blocking

MunichGames has no chat and no messaging. Friends can invite each other to multiplayer rounds. If you decline a friend request, we remember it for 30 days so the same person cannot send a new one during that time; they are not told.

You can report someone wherever you meet them in the app: rankings and the online list, friend requests, friend profiles, game invites, connected Instagram/TikTok names, after rounds of Brezn Fressn, Biergarten Wirbel and Gaudi Kart, and club members and clubs in Viertel Kini. You pick a reason from a fixed list; there is no free text. You can also report illegal content by email to info@muenchner-gesindel.de. We usually review reports within 48 hours. For reports made in the app, the app shows you our decision; for email reports, we answer by email. If we ban an account, the app shows the reason and how to object by email (info@muenchner-gesindel.de).

You can block other people. This ends a friendship between you, stops friend requests and invites, and hides your Instagram/TikTok names from them. A block lasts until you lift it in your profile or delete your account.

7. Coins and virtual items

Coins can only be earned by playing. Coins and virtual items have no monetary value, cannot be paid out, sold, transferred or traded, and are forfeited when an account is deleted. Rewards are fixed and shown in advance; there are no loot boxes.

8. Inviting friends

You get a personal invite link in your profile. If someone signs up with it and actually plays, you choose an in-game reward. You do not automatically become friends; you can send each other a friend request as usual. Rewards are limited per period. Only send the link to people who want it; no spam. Inviting your own second accounts voids the reward.

9. Rankings

Public rankings show your nickname, avatar, district and score and are reset every month. Personal records, achievements, levels and the friends ranking are kept.

10. Partner content

Some skins and items come from Munich partners. They are advertising and are labelled "Partner". They only cost in-game coins. We do not share your data with partners.

11. Availability and changes

The service is free and provided without guaranteed availability. We may add, pause, rotate, lock behind levels or discontinue games and change rules and rewards. Material changes to these terms are announced at least four weeks in advance.

12. Termination

You can delete your account at any time in your profile ("Konto löschen") or by email. We may terminate with four weeks' notice, or immediately for serious or repeated violations. Accounts unused for 24 months may be deleted after an email reminder.

13. Liability and law

We are fully liable for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breaches of essential obligations, limited to typical foreseeable damage. German law applies; mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected. We do not take part in consumer arbitration proceedings.
